Jonathan Hilsher joined Alfred State College in 2012 as the Director of Civic Engagement.  In his current role, he provides support to the Office of International Student Services, Wellsville Student Affairs, the Center for Civic Leadership, & Health & Wellness Services.  He also serves as co-chair of Leadership Allegany- a 10-month leadership development program for professionals within Allegany County.

Lynda graduated from Alfred State over 30 years ago and has worked at Health and Wellness Services for the past six years. She enjoys interacting with students and being able to treat and reassure them when they are ill.

Lynda was born in Kansas and has lived in Hornell since she was a teenager. You’ll find her spending her free time at Keuka Lake with family, riding motorcycles with her husband, and enjoying time with her children and three grandchildren.

I grew up in Alfred Station and both parents worked and retired from Alfred State College.

As an RN, I worked as a travel nurse, specialties included emergency, critical care, urgent care, and med/surg.  As an FNP has worked in emergency, urgent care, hospitalist, and general surgery specialties.  Worked with the Nursing Department at Alfred State for 8 years as an Associate Professor.

Jess currently lives in Alfred Station with her husband and 3 children.  She continues to work as needed at Jones and St. James Hospitals.

Teri, a 1995 Alfred State alumna of the Registered Professional Nursing program (AAS), is the RN for Health and Wellness Services in Wellsville. With 20+ years as an ER nurse, she holds certifications in TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, CPR, and was a certified COVID-19 contact tracer. She also worked as a Home Care Nurse specializing in wound care and infusion. Teri enjoys spontaneous travel, kayaking, photography, outdoor activities, and spending time with her granddaughter and three dogs.

Erika is a Registered Nurse originally from Rexville, NY. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Health Care Management from Cazenovia College and recently obtained her Nursing Degree from Alfred State College. Her favorite part of the job is interacting with students and being part of a great team.

She hopes that any student experiencing difficulties feels a little more at ease knowing that Health and Wellness is here for them. In her free time, Erika enjoys spending time with her family, husband, friends, and new golden retriever puppy, Honey.

Ginny grew up in Wellsville, NY, and graduated from Alfred State College in 1985. She worked for four years as a staff nurse at Jones Memorial Hospital and thirty years at the Visiting Nurses Association of WNY.

Ginny currently lives in Wellsville, NY with her husband John. She has one daughter and two grandchildren. Ginny enjoys gardening, reading, walking, and spending time with her family.

Heather is a certified family nurse practitioner who received her MS degree from Stony Brooke School of Medicine in 2010. Heather specializes in diagnosing and treating upper and lower extremity injuries and illnesses, and has a special interest in spine conditions. Heather is also employed with the University of Rochester Medical Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Richard grew up in Allegany County, NY for most of his life, but spent 12 years living in Massachusetts. He graduated from Alfred State College with an AAS and went on to pursue his BSN at Daemen College.

Richard has a background in emergency nursing, critical care nursing, and nursing management. Richard currently lives in Scio, NY with his spouse. He has two children and five grandchildren that he enjoys spending time with.

Clarissa grew up in Whitesville, NY, and graduated from Alfred State College with a bachelor’s in business administration in December of 2020. During her time at Alfred as a student, she worked as a work-study in the Health & Wellness Services office.

She spends her free time reading, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the outdoors with her spouse and dog, Callie.

Taryn (they/them) is a visual artist, currently studying for their Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Alfred University. Taryn received their BFA in Painting from Herron School of Art and Design (2013) and their MFA in 3D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art (2018). They like spending time in their art studio, primarily working in paint, assemblage, and installation.

Originally from Massachusetts, Mallory holds an M.S. in Ed from Elmira College, an M.A. in Environmental Planning & Management from the University of Illinois, and a B.S. in Biology from MCLA. An avid yogi, she values mindfulness, body kindness, and well-being. Mallory is also earning her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate. Despite her busy schedule, she enjoys outdoor activities with her husband, son, two daughters, and their dog, Nessie.

I grew up in Canisteo, NY and am a Alfred University graduate (B.A. in Communication Studies). I have worked in higher education for 5 years and plan to continue working in higher education. Outside of work, I love spending time with my niece and nephew, spending time with friends, reading, and traveling.

Dr. Del Rey Honeycutt, a licensed mental health counselor in NY, has a Ph.D. in Health Psychology and an M.S. in Community Counseling. With over 20 years of experience and a decade in higher ed administration, she focuses on reducing stigma, supporting student-athletes, and promoting healthy campuses. Using an integrative approach, she fosters insight, self-awareness, and belonging. Raised in Tucson, Dr. Honeycutt now lives in Alfred with her two sons, enjoying sports, music, and exercise.

Chance holds an MS.Ed in Mental Health Counseling from Alfred University. With years of experience at St. Bonaventure aiding student growth, he now uses an integrative, collaborative approach emphasizing CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and IFST to help others embrace authenticity.

In his free time, he enjoys exercising, camping, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and competing in sports.

Jordan grew up in Dansville, NY and is a graduate of Keuka College. There she earned her Master of Social Work degree and went on to earn her LMSW. Today she is proud to provide counseling services to students here at ASC, doing her best to guide and validate students through their journey in higher education. She practices with a focus on CBT, DBT, and problem-solving therapies (PST). During her free time Jordan enjoys spending time with her partner and son, reading, biking, kayaking and exploring the outdoors.

Shannon is a certified family nurse practitioner who received her MS from the University of Rochester School of Nursing in 2024. Shannon is also employed with the University of Rochester Medical Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Deb is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a private practice in Allegany County. She earned her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Medaille College and her BS in Psychology from University of South Carolina. Deb focuses primarily on helping individuals manage anxiety and depression, and to work through trauma in a safe and supportive environment.

Deb has lived in Allegany County for 20 years and loves to be involved in all aspects of the community. In her free time, Deb volunteers for several area organizations and enjoys time spent outdoors with her family.
