Availability of Institutional & Financial Aid Information
Students are notified through their Alfred State email account before the start of each fall and spring semester regarding FERPA, the tuition liability policy, and registration instructions. Details about financial aid programs and eligibility are available on the Financial Aid webpage.

Refund & Withdrawal Policy
The refund policy includes requirements for withdrawal and the return of tuition and financial aid. Enrolled students receive the tuition liability policy by email before and during the first week of each semester.
Textbook Information
Textbook information is available through the campus bookstore and through BannerWeb (login may be required). Semester schedule information and required or optional textbook needs are reported to the bookstore as part of schedule procedures.

Alfred State participates in the Student Achievement Measure (SAM), a voluntary initiative tracking student progress across institutions for a more complete picture of undergraduate progress and completion.
Program Pass Rates (Selected Examples)
- RHIT Exam Pass Rate (Aug 2021 to Jul 2022): 86% (12 of 14 first-time test takers passed on first attempt; one repeat test taker passed on second attempt).
- VTNE pass rate (Jul 1, 2019 to Jun 30, 2022): 84.13%.
- NCLEX (Spring 2021): 70.69% first-time candidate pass rate.
- ARRT Radiologic Technology (2020): 79% on first attempt.

The Office of Institutional Research, Planning & Effectiveness (OIRPE) verifies institutional-level outcomes by regularly checking links to the NCES College Navigator tool and works with academic departments to review publicly displayed data including exam and licensure pass rates.
