Four Alfred State College (ASC) students were inducted into Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) National Honor Society. The honor society recognizes academic achievements of students admitted to colleges and universities through non-traditional criteria.
The Class of 2026 included McKenna Flinders (Forensic Science), Jonathan Newton (Interdisciplinary Studies), Richard Rochester (Business Administration) and Riley Wulff (Business Administration).
Dean for Academic Support and Student Success and honorary XAE member, Francine Staba welcomed guests before the Class of 2026 was inducted. Megan Hubbard, Partner at Mengel, Metzger, & Barr & Co., LLP, delivered the keynote.
Chi Alpha Epsilon was founded at West Chester University in 1989. Responding to an increased need to acknowledge the continuing success of students in Academic Development Program and recognizing that students who share similar experiences could serve as significant models for others.
Membership in XAE is offered through local campus chapters to eligible students and alumni. Full-time students who hold a 3.0 cumulative GPA for two consecutive semesters along with an overall 3.0 GPA who were admitted to the college via developmental or higher education opportunity type of programs are eligible for membership.
