Over two dozen Alfred State engineering technology students spent an afternoon in Olean at Napoleon Engineering Services (NES). The group learned more about the career path and responsibilities of current employees and had the chance to tour the facility.

“Trips like this bring what we are learning in the classroom and the labs to life.,” commented Associate Professor and Department Chair of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology Aric Bryant. “Napoleon Engineering has been a great partner to our program and has continued to hire our graduates. We are thankful to Chris (Napoleon) and his team for such a thorough look into their company.”
“It was our pleasure to host such an engaged and inquisitive group from Alfred State,” said Napoleon Engineering Services President and CEO Chris Napoleon. “Our objective was to illustrate to these students that, although most will graduate with the same mechanical engineering degree, the job opportunities it can lead to are diverse, and there are several pathways available to a challenging and rewarding career in advanced manufacturing if you’re willing to work hard and continue learning. We not only achieved that goal but strengthened an already formidable bond with Alfred State in the process.”
