The AAS degree offers a broad range of skills and basic data relevant to the building process. The BS furthers this by combining a philosophic and artistic perspective of building design with an applied technical knowledge of construction systems and materials. In addition, the Southern Tier Architectural Resource (STAR) Center, and Center for Architecture and Remote Sensing (CARS) at Alfred State provide opportunities for students to work with cutting-edge technology and software on real-world projects with actual clients. Architectural technology students also have the opportunity to study abroad in Sorrento, Italy.
