Alfred State College recently welcomed representatives from Cornell Cooperative Extension who presented nutrition tips and education to faculty/staff and students in the Alfred State greenhouse. In addition to providing valuable cooking tips, Pat White, Nutrition Program Educator, and Loree Symonds, Nutrition and Food Safety, demonstrated cooking techniques using greens and herbs from the ASC greenhouse. The audience sampled lentil soup, fresh salad, and smoothies with mint.
