featuring a New Orleans-style menu, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 5-7 p.m., in the student cafeteria of the Culinary Arts Building
on the Wellsville campus.

Students enrolled in the culinary
arts programs at Alfred State College will prepare a Mardi Gras celebration,
featuring a New Orleans-style menu, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 5-7 p.m., in the student cafeteria of the Culinary Arts Building
on the Wellsville campus.

Offerings
will include New Orleans-style food, featuring carved flank steak, Louisiana gumbo,
beignets, and a dessert bar. 

Masked wait
staff will serve patrons at tables decked out in bright colors designed to
evoke a Mardi Gras atmosphere; jazz selections will provide additional
ambience.  Guests will receive
complimentary Mardi Gras beads in the traditional colors of green, gold, and
purple.   

Cost of the
event is $13 for adults; $6 for children 10 and under.  Proceeds from the event, which is sponsored
by the Top Hat Club (the culinary honor society), will benefit the Club's
Activity Fund.

Culinary
senior Larry Johnson, Leicester, is manager of
the event.

The event
is open to the public; no reservations will be accepted.
