Members of the faculty and staff at Alfred State College were honored recently for their years of service at the college. Those honored for 30 years included, l-r: Dawn Linke, Andover, instructional support specialist, Instructional Technologies; Richard Perkins, Andover, maintenance, Facilities Services; Nancy Shearer, Hornell, dean, Enrollment Services; Carol Melnyk, Canisteo, secretary to the dean of the School of Management and Engineering Technology; and Claudia Mount, Hornell, supervising janitor, Facilities Services. Also honored, but missing from photo: Roger Gelser, Angelica, general mechanic, Facilities Services. Honorees received a certificate and college pen set to commemorate the occasion. This year's luncheon theme was Eat Fresh, Buy Local, Think Green, which hosted a variety of local vendors promoting their products and increasing awareness of the benefits of buying locally.
