Women's Soccer Sixth in Latest NJCAA Poll

The Alfred State women's soccer team remains ranked sixth in the latest NJCAA national poll.  This is the fourth consecutive week that the Lady Pioneers are ranked in the Top 10.

The Alfred State women's soccer team remains ranked sixth in the latest NJCAA Division III national poll.  This is the fourth consecutive week that the Lady Pioneers are ranked in the Top 10.  The Lady Pioneers are 11-4-1 on the season.

The Alfred State women defeated SUNY Delhi by a score of 3-1 in the Region III Group B semifinals on Tuesday, October 21.  The Lady Pioneers were led by Brittany Hannah (Eastridge) with a goal and an assist.  Jessie Smith (Fredonia) and Emma Pollack (Fredonia) each chipped in with a goal.  Meghan Lowell (Keshequa) made five saves in net to help Alfred State advance.

Alfred State will now face Broome CC  in the Group B finals, the winner of which will move on to compete in the District finals.  That game is scheduled for October 25 at noon in Herkimer.  Broome CC is currently ranked second in the NJCAA poll.  The Lady Pioneers tied Broome CC 1-1 earlier in the season.
