Danielle Green received the Excellence in Online Teaching Award at Alfred State’s 42nd Annual Honors Convocation.

Merring, an Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator in Radiologic Technology, was the recipient of the Student Advocate Award. She is credited for her dedication to both her students and the department. 

One nominating student remarked, “She takes the minimal spare time that she has to meet with any student that needs her. Her work ethic is honestly inspiring. Not only does she prepare us for our licensure exams, but she prepares us for upcoming careers by helping us navigate the job field.” 

The award recognizes college employees who have gone above and beyond to help students be successful at Alfred State. 

Green, a Court Reporting Professor, was the recipient of the Excellence in Online Teaching Award. The award recognizes faculty who demonstrated excellence in online course design, instruction, and student engagement. Winners are nominated by students and selected by the E-Learning committee. 

She is credited by her students for going above ang beyond to make sure they have all the resources available for them to succeed. She is always available to answer questions, is a skilled and inspiring motivator, and models professionalism. Her innovative teaching practices include the use of personalized audio feedback to connect with her students.
