Prospective students will have the opportunity to speak with professors and professionals from across campus at Open House programs.

Alfred State will host a pair of Open House events this spring to allow prospective students and their families to experience the college. Open House programs will be held on Sunday, March 22 and Saturday, April 11.

At Open House programs visitors can choose to start their day at either the Alfred or Wellsville campus with programming starting at 9:30 a.m. (check-in starts at 9 a.m.) During these events, prospective students and their families will be able to participate in a variety of sessions to learn about ASC academic programs and life on campus. An extensive list of activities is designed to provide flexibility in visiting areas of interest to each student.

“Visiting campus during an Open House is the best way to experience the unique opportunities at Alfred State,” said Associate Vice President for Integrated Enrollment Services Kandi Geibel. “Prospective students and their families will get a real sense of what it means to be a Pioneer as they explore our 80 in-demand academic programs, see our labs, learn about the hands-on approach to education that defines Alfred State, and experience the energy of campus life.”

Open House activities include:

  • Both the Alfred and Wellsville campuses are open.
  • Guided tours with current students describing life at ASC.
  • Faculty from all academic areas will provide tours of labs and answer questions.
  • Informative presentations on financial aid and campus life.
  • Complimentary lunch for students and their families for a taste of Alfred.
  • Information tables with representatives available to answer individual questions related to admissions, athletics, career development, financial aid, student life, student success center, technology services, and more.
