Alfred State Assistant Professor and Health Information Technology Program Director Erica Matteson was featured in a story on MedicalTechnologySchools.com.

After working in the field Matteson started at Alfred State in a part-time role and moved to the Program Director position in 2017. She is a member of the American Information Management Association (AHIMA), the New York Health Information Management Association (NYHIMA), and the Rochester Regional Health Information Management Association (RRHIMA). In 2025, Matteson received the student-nominated Excellence in Online Teaching Award from Alfred State College.
