The Alfred State College women's soccer team scored two early goals and went on for a 3-1 victory over SUNY Delhi in a Region III Division III B Semifinal. With the win the Lady Pioneers advance to the Region III B finals on Saturday vs. Broome CC.

The Alfred State College women's soccer team scored two early goals and went on for a 3-1 victory over SUNY Delhi in a Region III Division III B Semifinal. With the win the Lady Pioneers advance to the Region III B finals on Saturday vs. Broome CC.

Brittany Hannah (Eastridge) scored just under two minutes into the game to get ASC on the board. Hannah found Jessie Smith (Fredonia) at 37:04 of the 1st half to make it 2-0.

Emma Pollok (Fredonia) found the back of the net for the first time this season on a long shot that was just out of reach of the Bronco goalie.

Jessica DeSisto got Delhi on the board in the final minute when she found the back of the net.

Meghan Lowell (Keshequa) made five saves in net to record the victory. ASC held a 15-10 shot advantage.

Broome, the defending National Champion and ranked #2 in the latest NJCAA poll, defeated Mohawk Valley 3-2 in their semifinal match-up.  ASC and Broome played to a 1-1 tie earlier in the season.

Alfred State, 11-4-1 and ranked #6 in the latest NJCAA poll, will play on Saturday at Noon in the Region III B Finals at Herkimer CCC.
