After growing up on his grandparents' crop farm in the Finger Lakes, Brett Vogt (Copenhagen, NY) knew he wanted a career in agriculture and found the perfect fit in Agribusiness Management at Alfred State.

Brett enjoys the business side of agriculture, learning how fiscal management and decision-making drive successful farming operations. "I've really enjoyed learning about the business side of farming and seeing how the numbers impact everyday operations."
He education include classroom instruction and extensive lab experiences on the College's farm give him and his classmates the opportunity to apply concepts in real-world settings.

Scholarships helped make his Alfred State education affordable. “The scholarships I received allowed me to focus on my schooling and not worry about the financial side of things.”
He also took advantage of Alfred State's career fair, where he secured an internship that turned into a full-time position as a crop specialist, helping farmers with seed, fertilizer, and crop protection solutions.
"I came here expecting to transfer, but the opportunities at Alfred State changed my plans. I was able to graduate early and already have my career lined up."
