The Alfred State College volleyball team earned their 19th victory with a 25-13, 25-17, 25-20 victory over Corning CC at the Orvis Activities Center on Thursday.  The Lady Pioneers are now 19-2 on the season and ranked #9 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.

The Alfred State College volleyball team earned their 19th victory with a 25-13, 25-17, 25-20 victory over Corning CC at the Orvis Activities Center on Thursday.  The Lady Pioneers are now 19-2 on the season and ranked #9 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.

Jenni Jerome (Syracuse/Westhill) led the way with 12 kills, 10 digs, and three aces while Yurika Toyodome (Tokyo, Japan) finished with 12 kills, 10 digs, and two aces.  Miki Inoue (Kumamoto, Japan) chipped in 11 digs and eight kills, Emily Linn (Portville) added six kills and five digs, and Breanna Horton (Owego Free) passed out 34 assists and collected nine digs.  Christina Nolan (Niagara Wheatfield) contributed seven digs.

ASC returns to action on October 11 when they host the annual Alfred State Tournament.  The Lady Pioneers will be in pool play with Broome CC, Tompkins Cortland CC, and Jefferson CC.  Action is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
