Customers will have more opportunities to enjoy Alfred’s downtown historic restaurant, the Collegiate. The restaurant operated by Alfred State will launch dinner hours on Sept. 10.
The Collegiate will expand their regular hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to serve dinner from 4 – 8 PM. Starting at 4 PM on the three days, a new dinner-only menu will be featured.
“As we celebrate the one-year anniversary of Alfred State opening the Collegiate, we are excited to launch dinner hours.” stated General Manager Shane Diehl. “We are starting with Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with the expectation that we will be able to add more days and expand the dinner menu in the near future.”
The Collegiate not only serves as a restaurant but is a learning lab for culinary arts students. The downstairs of the restaurant features a lab where students take classes and learn from professors. The students also cook and work in the restaurant during school hours.
Located at 31 N. Main St., the Collegiate is open Tuesday through Sunday. Starting Sept. 10, the restaurant will be open from 7 AM – 4 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 7 AM – 8 PM Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and from 7 AM – 4 PM on Sunday.
A mobile ordering application is currently under development and will be launched sometime this fall as well.
Diehl continued. “The expanded hours give more opportunities for customers to enjoy the great food and atmosphere of the restaurant.”
