Student Success Center
The Student Success Center at Alfred State, located on the second floor of the Student Development Center, is your hub for guidance, support, and collaboration. The center features flexible gathering spaces where staff, mentors, tutors, and students work side by side, creating a welcoming environment to ask questions, plan, and access the tools you need to thrive.
The Student Success Center is home to the Center for Academic Resources and Excellence. C.A.R.E. empowers students at every stage of their academic journey by offering tutoring, mentoring, advising, and accessibility services. These resources ensure you have the academic support, encouragement, and opportunities you need to reach your full potential at Alfred State and beyond.
Within the Student Success Center you will find our Academic Success Coaches. Every student is assigned an Academic Success Coach based on their major. Our Academic Success Coaches can assist students with developing study and test-taking skills, time management skills, and more to help them be successful throughout their academic journey at Alfred State.
The Student Success Center collaborates with other academic departments on campus to provide helpful and timely workshops throughout each semester to help students gain the skills they need to be successful.
