Conor Compton dove to SUNYAC honors with a strong showing at the 2026 Championships

Alfred State senior diver Conor Compton continued to add to his impressive athletic career at Alfred State. This past weekend, he dove to the SUNYAC title on both the 1m and 3m boards, was named the men's Outstanding Diver of the Meet and was the recipient of the 2025-26 James Fulton Award.

On the 3m board, he scored 575.75 in the preliminaries and then clinched first place with a 559.10 in the finals. His scored was over 50 points more than second place.

On the 1m board he captured his eighth conference title with a score of 534.40 after scoring 523.05 in the prelims. He defeated his nearest opponent by just over 30 points.

The James Fulton and Grace Mowatt Awards are given annually to a senior male and female swimmer/diver based on the following criteria: All America honors, All-SUNYAC honors, improvement throughout collegiate career and academic achievement.

Diving Coach Nick Beach was also honored. He was named the SUNYAC Men's Diving Coach of the Meet.

Compton and Beach will head to RIT this weekend (Feb. 27-28) for the NCAA Regional Competition. Compton will be looking to qualify for the NCAA Division III Nationals for the fourth straight year.
