Tomorrow (Nov. 5), members of the Alfred State community will unite for the college's annual Day of Giving, a fundraising initiative supporting scholarships, academic programs, student success initiatives, and opportunities that directly impact current and future Pioneers. The focus of this year's campaign remains Powering the Pioneer Fund.
The 2026 Day of Giving aims to raise more than $350,000 from over 1,000 donors. Last year, nearly 800 donors contributed just over $344,000 in support of Alfred State students and programs.

The Day of Giving event has been an annual tradition at Alfred State since 2016.Each year, the college, along with its clubs, organizations, and athletic teams, encourages alumni, friends, families, faculty, staff, and students to join together in support of Alfred State.
Throughout the day, students, employees, alumni, and community members can participate in a variety of activities on the Alfred and Wellsville campuses. Highlights include activities in the Student Leadership Center Park Space, Traveling Trivia in Wellsville, the Campus Store's "Score to Win" challenge, and evening bingo and cupcake decorating hosted by the Campus Activity Board.
The Day of Giving celebration extends into the weekend with the annual Stoplight Battle football game between Alfred State and Alfred University on Saturday at Merrill Field. The rivalry matchup provides another opportunity for the Pioneer community to come together in support of Alfred State students.
Day of Giving Events around campus:
11 AM – 3 PM: Student Leadership Park Space
Free popcorn and cotton candy, a photo booth, yard games, arts & crafts activities, and Donor Thank-You Board.
11 AM – 2 PM: The Rig
Traveling Trivia and Donor Thank-You board.
3 – 5 PM: Campus Store
“Score to Win" at the Campus Store to earn discounts and win prizes. Whoever makes the most in a row gets to pick out a hoodie.
6 – 7:30 PM: Student Leadership Center Park Space
Cupcake decorating and Bingo for prizes hosted by the Campus Activity Board.
