Student & Faculty Success

The Alfred State football team is heading to the NCAA Division III Tournament after defeating Dean College 55-3 in their regular season finale to clinch the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) title. The Pioneers will head to the University of Mount Union (Alliance, OH) for their first-round contest.

Quinn Scanlon will travel to Italy and will take part in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final. He will be with the team the whole week through testing, practice, qualifying, and the actual races on Nov. 18 and 19.

“We had a great showing with a wide variety of original poetry.This is one of our department’s favorite evenings, and I was so impressed by our students’ creativity and courage."

The performing arts ensembles at Alfred State College continued their support of the Mary Cariola Children’s Center by raising funds and participating in the organization’s largest community fundraiser.

“Getting to participate in projects like this is satisfying in multiple ways. Being able to apply skills we learn in the classroom while helping the local community is a double victory. Our students enjoyed being part of the project and are proud of the final product.”

The Alfred State men's soccer team won the Allegany Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship for the first time with a victory over Mt. Aloysius.

Julius Korytkowski has his story "The Pioneers of tomorrow: Alfred State architecture students solving the problems of tomorrow" published by the Wellsville Sun.
