The Alfred State College (ASC) Western Equestrian team hosted a successful open house for the college community. The event, held at Hurdale Farm in West Almond, allowed the current team to highlight their training facilities and the horses they train on.

Five members of the Alfred State College (ASC) archery team reached the podium at the 2022 USA Archery East Region Outdoor Championships at James Madison University (Harrisonburg, VA).

Alfred State student Zavier Sosa (Bronx, NY) was one of 45 SUNY EOP students honored with the Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award for Student Excellence.

Alfred State College (ASC) celebrated the achievements of hundreds of students recently during the 38th annual Honors Convocation.

The Alfred State College (ASC) Culinary Arts department will host a drive thru pulled pork dinner on April 28 at the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus. Proceeds of the event will benefit the program’s scholarship fund.

“This will be my first Hot Dog Day as the new president at ASC, and I already know just how important this tradition is to alumni, faculty, and staff. It will also be a big part of cherished memories for our current students,” stated ASC President Dr. Steven Mauro.

The Alfred State College team of Zackary Martin and David Benson teamed up to win the 2nd annual Allegany County Startup Collegiate Competition. 

Alfred State College, Mohawk Valley Community College, Syracuse University, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 43, and the National Electrical Contractor Association, have joined forces to build an education pathway for IBEW Local 43 members. 

Nearly two dozen attendees shared poetry at the English and Humanities Department spring poetry event. Current students, faculty, administration, college council members, and alumni shared original or favorite poems.

The 2021 SkillsUSA New York State Leadership and Skills Conference Postsecondary Championship was held on the Wellsville campus.

Five Alfred State College (ASC) construction management students were inducted into the Sigma Lambda Chi honor society recently.
