The Educational Foundation of Alfred, Inc. is a private foundation comprising faculty, staff, and friends of Alfred State, dedicated to improving the college community through support of educational programs.  The Foundation provides monetary support to enhance learning opportunities for students through scholarships, work grants, and academic club and curriculum activities.

House 54 latest residence built for Wellsville community

Just over two years after work first began on House 54, the newest home constructed by Alfred State students for the Wellsville community is now completed and the new owners now call it home.

Sitting on more than five acres of land at 3829 Foundation Drive, the 2,199-square-foot, French country-style three-bedroom house includes a covered rear porch with a wood-burning fireplace, a full basement, a formal dining room, a laundry room, a two-car garage, a home office area, and more.

Educational Foundation of Alfred, Inc. assisting students through peer tutoring support

Since the 2010-2011 academic year, the Foundation has provided $5,000 annually to the college’s peer tutoring program. As a result, the program has fulfilled more than 450 student requests over the last three years, providing more than 2,650 hours of support.

Educational Foundation of Alfred, Inc. funds students through work-grant program

The Educational Foundation of Alfred, Inc. annually provides $10,000 to fund eight to 10 Alfred State students through its work-grant program, allowing students who are ineligible for work-study funds to find employment on campus. The grant is renewable on an annual basis.
