Students enrolled in the Culinary Arts programs at the School of Applied Technology of Alfred State College will prepare a holiday buffet on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 5-7 p.m. in the student dining hall of the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus.
The Alfred State College WINS (Women in
Non-traditional Studies-- though the Club is open to all students) Club hosted
two alumnae visitors to campus earlier this month to talk to the WINS Club
members during the 16th annual Women in the Field Dinner.
Dr. Gary Lounsberry, associate professor, Social and
Behavioral Sciences Department at Alfred State College, recently moderated a
research panel presenting a series of papers on the theme "Evidence-based
Practice in Public Health Social Work" at the annual conference of the American
Public Health Association meeting in Washington, D.C., Nov. 3-7, 2007.
Daniel H. Whitford, Cuba, has been named to the board of the Educational Foundation of Alfred, Inc.
Alfred State College has been named to the top 10 undergraduate construction schools in Michael Nelson's inaugural rankings of the top undergraduate construction management and construction engineering programs in the nation.
