The Alfred State men's swimming team is in 5th place while the women's team is in 7th after two days of competition at the Monroe CC Winter Invitational. The men have 126 points while the women have 38.
The Alfred State men's swimming team is in 3rd place while the women's team is in 7th after day one of the Monroe CC Winter Invitational. The men have scored 43 points while the women have 13.
Alfred State culinary arts students will be hosting their annual Holiday Buffet dinner at the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 5-7 p.m.
Finger Lakes CC pulled off a 52-45 victory over Alfred State on Thursday night in a low scoring affair. The Pioneers were slowed down by 20 turnovers and are now 4-4 on the year.
Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) had a monster game as she recorded her sixth straight double-double as Alfred State defeated Finger Lakes CC 65-50. With the win the Lady Pioneers are 7-2 on the season.
The Alfred State men's basketball team had seven players score at least five points as they defeated Elmira College JV 65-38. The Pioneers improve to 4-3 on the year.
Eleven area residents have completed a CNC machining training program through Alfred State which prepares dislocated workers in Allegany County for employment opportunities with area businesses.
Alfred State’s vocal ensemble, “Voices!” will present a winter concert on Friday, December 7 at 7 p.m. in the Cappadonia Auditorium in the Orvis Activities Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
The Alfred State women's basketball team held Penn College to just 22 points in the 2nd half and rallied for a 66-62 victory. The Lady Pioneers are now 6-2 on the year while the Lady Wildcats fall to 2-3.
New York State Senator Catharine Young (R-Olean) joined special guests of Alfred State recently to see a large granite stone engraved with the year '2011' placed at the entrance of the new Student Leadership Center (SLC) on the Alfred campus.
