Project Prom Dress is being coordinated by Alfred State senior Kayla Franchina of Gerry. Franchina, a human services student, hosted a similar event last year in Chautauqua County. The event collected more than 500 gowns, all of which were given to area girls and others throughout Western New York during prom season.

Anyone who would like to donate a gown should email projectpromdress2013@gmail.com. The event is free and open to the public.
