“We are excited to show off the work of our seniors. It is great for our students to gather in one spot and watch the work that their classmates have put together throughout the semester. It is a celebration of not only the semester but of the seniors careers here at Alfred State.”

The Bret Llewellyn Art Gallery is currently hosting an exhibit “My Chinoiserie” until Friday, Dec. 1. The exhibition features the concept art and animation assets for a short film in progress by artist and filmmaker, Amy Lee Ketchum.

“Four years ago, I was too scared to talk to anyone, so I started dipping my toes in things on campus and it helped me come out of my shell a lot. It has helped me with my leadership and social abilities as well.”

“We went from playing on MacBooks to playing on nice PCs in a couple years which was impressive. It was fun for me, but it was a lot of work form all of us to get to that point. It proved to me that what Professor Neuberger said in class was true, if you put the time in, you are going to get the results you want.”

Alfred State College (ASC) students Megan Delianne and Alec Harrigan have been awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence (CASE).

Alfred State student Zavier Sosa (Bronx, NY) was one of 45 SUNY EOP students honored with the Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award for Student Excellence.

Tammy Brackett, professor and chair of the Alfred State College (ASC) Digital Media & Animation department, had one of her pieces featured in the Memorial Art Gallery’s 67th Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition.

Alfred State Associate Professor of Digital Media and Animation Jeremy Speed Schwartz recently received a pair of awards for his short film titled, “The Land of the 3-Drink Minimum.”
