WKBW reporter Adam Campos recently visited campus to learn more about the Alfred State women's wrestling team.

"What better way to have a family away from family, a home away from home than joining a sports team," commented sophomore Judiely Ventura. "Now some of these girls have become my close friends here."

Ethe Hemphill wrestled in high school but is enjoying the chance to continue in college. "Transitioning from an all boys team to an all girls team was a very interesting experience. I was alway comfortable. But I will say, being able to relate more with my teammates with different experiences like womanhood really helped me become more comfortable here really quickly."

Alfred State is coached by Margaret Laine.
