Brittany Hannah (Eastridge) netted a hat trick as Alfred State's women's soccer team came away with a 5-1 victory against SUNY Delhi on Saturday.

Brittany Hannah (Eastridge) netted a hat trick as Alfred State's women's soccer team came away with a 5-1 victory against SUNY Delhi on Saturday. 

Hannah scored her goals on assists from Kassandra Durant (Ilion), Shelby Winchester (Maple Grove) and Jessie Smith (Fredonia).  Smith also scored a goal for the Lady Pios on an assist from Emma Pollok (Fredonia).  Theresa Hubbel (Bishop Kearney) also scored with some help from Winchester.

The Lady Pioneers almost came away with a shut out, but Delhi got on the board with 47 second remaining in the game.  Meghan Lowell (Keshequa) finished the game with 16 saves as the women improved their record to 2-0. 

A-State will try to stay undefeated as they travel to  Tompkins Cortland CC on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. start.
