The Alfred State College volleyball team remained ranked #9 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Lady Pioneers have been ranked in the 9th spot the past two weeks and have been in the national poll all season.

The Alfred State College volleyball team remained ranked #9 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Lady Pioneers have been ranked in the 9th spot the past two weeks and have been in the national poll all season.

ASC downed then ranked #10 Niagara CCC 3-2 last Tuesday before going 6-1 and finishing 2nd at the Onondaga CC Tournament.  Last night they added a 3-0 victory over Jamestown CC to improve to 18-2 on the season.

Jamestown is the only other Region III school in the top ten.  The Jayhawks are ranked #7 moving up one spot from last week.  Alfred State and Jamestown have split four matches thus far this season.  Adirondack CC, Hudson Valley CC, and Niagara CCC were noted on the others schools receiving votes.

The Lady Pioneers return to action on Thursday when they host Corning CC at the Orvis Activities Center for a 6 p.m. match-up.
