The Alfred State College men's soccer team scored six 1st half goals en route to a 6-0 victory over JCC-Olean on Thursday afternoon.  The win is the team's third straight shutout and improves them to 9-3 (9-1 Region III Division) on the season.

The Alfred State College men's soccer team scored six 1st half goals en route to a 6-0 victory over JCC-Olean on Thursday afternoon.  The win is the team's third straight shutout and improves them to 9-3 (9-1 Region III Division) on the season.

Lucas Wales (Bath) recorded a natural hat trick as he scored at 42:14, 37:48, and 24:54 of the half.  Matt Kooy (Caledonia Mumford) and Sam Alt (Williamsville South) added goals while Kevin Arilotta (Churchville), Kyle Binder (Hornell), and Masanari Yamamoto (Tokyo, Japan) were credited with assists.

The Blue and Gold held a 36 to 4 shot advantage.  Dan Fabiny (Wellsville) made one save in recording his third straight shutout and fifth solo shutout of the season.  Cameron Myers made 14 saves for the Jaguars.

The Pioneers, ranked #11 in NJCAA Division III and winners of nine straight Region III Division III contests, have over a week off before traveling to Cayuga CC on October 10 for a 4 p.m. contest with the Spartans.
