Haines and Dumbleton Named All-Region

Alfred State College sophomore volleyball players Brittany Haines (Salamanca) and Kelley Dumbleton (Warsaw) have been named All-Region.  Haines was a 1st team selection for the second time while Dumbleton was named 2nd team.

Alfred State College sophomore volleyball players Brittany Haines (Salamanca) and Kelley Dumbleton (Warsaw) have been named All-Region.  Haines was a 1st team selection for the second time while Dumbleton was named 2nd team.

Haines played in all 99 games this season for the 24-12 Lady Pioneers.  She passed out 778 assists (7.9 per game), was credited with 368 digs, and collected 90 kills from her setter position.  She also had 34 service aces and 14 blocks on the year.  In 21 matches she collected ten or more digs and she had more than 20 assists in 22 matches.  Her best match of the season came vs. Monroe CC when she had nine kills, 34 assists, 17 digs, and two aces.

Dumbleton also played in all 99 games this season as the team's middle hitter.  She connected on 264 kills (2.7 per game and a 0.296 hitting percentage) and registered 304 digs.  She also chipped in 39 aces and 36 blocks.  Dumbleton had more than 10 digs in 14 matches and more than 10 kills in nine matches. She finished the season with five double-doubles on the season.

Earlier in the season both Haines and Dumbleton were both named All-WNYAC 1st team.
