“I am very pleased that Governor Cuomo has signed the NYSUNY2020 bill, which will result in fair, rational, and predictable tuition increases for SUNY students and their families,” said Alfred State College President Dr. John M. Anderson upon learning of the Governor’s signing the bill into law.

“This landmark legislation improves the tuition policy process and will be a boon to New York State, the State University of New York (SUNY), and most importantly, to us in this region, to Alfred State College,” said Anderson.

“I want to express my gratitude to Chancellor Zimpher, Gov. Cuomo, and the Legislature for their support of SUNY and their recognition of SUNY’s needs. This new plan will allow current and prospective students and their families to better budget for higher educational costs by avoiding unexpected tuition spikes, and will afford campuses a steady revenue stream to allow them to plan more effectively for their programming and physical plant needs.

“Once again, I want to thank Chancellor Zimpher, Gov. Cuomo, and the Legislature for their support of SUNY, New York State’s future.”
