John E. Benjamin, of Horseheads, was appointed by the New York State Governor’s Office to the Alfred State College Council. Benjamin is a retired president of the Three Rivers Development Corporation, a private-sector vehicle for economic development in the Finger Lakes Region.
Valerie Nixon, executive vice president emeritus, was welcomed as a new board member of The Educational Foundation of Alfred, Inc.
