Matt Lawrence, professor in the mechanical and electrical engineering technology program, was appointed to the NCAA Division III Nominating Committee. Lawrence has been the Alfred State Faculty Athletic Rep since 2014.

Kathy Bliss, co-program director and assistant professor in the veterinary technician program, and Debra Tomm, the administrative assistant in the social and behavioral sciences department, have received Chancellor’s Award for Excellence. Bliss was honored with the award for Faculty Service while Tomm was honored for Classified Service.

Keelan Croston, a trades specialist, John Garippa, an associate professor in the Automotive Trades department, Cynthia Merring, an office assistant in business affairs, Anthony Rudolph, a senior admissions advisor, and Erika Tracy, the COVID-19 response coordinator, were honored with Pioneer Awards at the annual Recognition Celebration.

Architecture and design assistant professor Matt DiRado, associate professor in electrical, machine tool, and welding technology Jeff Hellwig, and veterinary technology assistant professor Andrea Williamson were named the recipients of the Advising Excellence award at Alfred State’s annual Recognition Celebration.
Judy Rose, Jenna Zetwick
Professors Judy Rose and Jenna Zetwick have been named SUNY Online Teaching Ambassadors. The recognition is a SUNY system level recognition of quality in course design, advocacy for the online learning experience, and enthusiasm for promoting student success in online course. Rose is a member of the Social and Behavioral Science department while Zetwick teaches in the Allied Health department.
