Dr. Ron Rhoadesfinancial services associate degree program, has been elected chair of the Steering Committee of The Committee for the Fiduciary Standard (CFS). The CFS seeks to help inform and nurture a public discussion on the fiduciary standard and encourage its adoption by all providers of investment and financial planning advice within the securities industry. In this role, Rhoades recently visited the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, DC, where he shared ideas on new proposed rules relating to the duties of advisors to 401(k) and IRA accounts.

Rhoades has over 25 years of experience as an attorney and over 12 years of service as a personal financial adviser. He was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential persons associated with the investment advisory profession in 2011 by Investment Advisor magazine. A Certified Financial Planner™, he has served in leadership roles in several financial planning organizations, is the author of several books and numerous articles in financial industry publications, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
