The Alfred State College (ASC) Culinary Arts department will host a drive-thru barbecue dinner on Thursday, Sept. 12.

“Dr. Jacobs was instrumental in our campus-wide effort to present how Alfred State has a strong financial and strategic focus for educational and operational excellence. By inviting her to present, I believe MSCHE recognizes how Bridget is one of our star players on the ASC team to show what the college does and how we do it.”

Alfred State College (ASC) is excited to announce the addition of forty-nine new faculty and staff members. The new members of the ASC community were announced during Dr. Steve Mauro’s semester opening address.

“Without the Alfred State EOP students, we would not have had the capacity to help so many residents in dire need. When demolishing water-damaged walls and floors, hauling debris, and even “mucking flood mud,” the students did so with energy, enthusiasm, and care.”

 “As part of our Professional Development Week we try to avail our faculty opportunities to learn more about our students and where they are coming from. The simulation allowed our faculty to participate and understand better what some of our students’ lives may be like outside of college and it gives us opportunity to have conversations in the classroom.”

Patricia Orsini Nilsen, ’95, represented the United States and brought home a pair of gold medals at the Intersteno Congress in Katowice, Poland.

“Having to trust the other guys on the team when we worked on the truck in a parking lot every night or trusting our navigator was crucial for our success in the race.”

“I touch many aspects of construction which requires knowledge of pretty much every facet of construction. I am involved with projects from the time that they bid to the time that they are completed. Without my degrees from Alfred, I would not have that foundation.”
