"Projects like these are great opportunities for our students to take the knowledge learned in the classroom and apply it to real life situations. It is great to have advisory board members return to campus to learn about these projects and serve as judges. The input they give the students just adds to the experience."

Alfred State engineering students ended their semester by presenting their progress on their senior projects. They were judged on their poster presentation by members of the Advisory Committee and professors in the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology Department.
A Marble Machine Display and the Robotics Club’s Firefighting Robot tied for first place honors.
- Steffen Burkhardt, Dominick Scalzo, Elijah Symeslatini, Bee Williams, Ashleigh Woodcock worked with ASC Professor Alex Bailey and Bryant on the Marble Machine that will eventually become an attraction in the Student Leadership Center.
- Kevin Marca, Caiden Pappert, and Anthony Puntillo worked with ASC Professor David Hunt and Bryant in the process of building a firefighting robot.

A pair of teams tied for second place after the judging was completed.
- Connor Corr, Niklas Lundberg, James Waiter, and Bryson Weiser are working on a historical reenactment of Brubaker Primers. Steven Brubaker served as the Industry Advisor while Aaron Straus is serving as the team’s ASC advisor.
