The 2021 SkillsUSA New York State Leadership and Skills Conference Postsecondary Championship was held on Alfred State’s Wellsville campus on Saturday, April 2. 32 students from two schools, Alfred State and the Culinary Institute of America, competed against each other in one of the nation’s most prestigious showcases of career and technical aptitude.

SkillsUSA Contests begin locally and continue through the state and national levels. State winners are eligible to travel to Atlanta, GA to compete in the 58th National SkillsUSA Championship on June 20. The five-day event features more than 6,500 students competing in 107 occupational and leadership skill areas.
