Alfred State College (ASC) is welcoming 26 new faculty and staff members in time for the start of the spring semester.

The Division of Academic Affairs added 16 new employees, including Julie Abbey, Daniel Aftuck, Richard Carlson Jr., Kevin Costello, Nicholas Cousino, Ralph De Musis, Benjamin Glass, Ron Good, Angela Graves, Daniel Helveston, Aaron Potter, Shane Roush, Karla Sage, Christopher Stampone, Donald Tinder, and Jennifer Updyke.

•    Abbey is an instructional support assistant in the Veterinary Technology Department.
•    Aftuck is an instructor in the Heavy Equipment Operations Department.
•    Carlson is an assistant professor in the Surveying Department.
•    Costello is an instructor in the Building Trades Department.
•    Cousino is an e-resources librarian.
•    De Musis is an academic advisor in the Student Success Center.
•    Glass is a programmer/analyst in the Technology Services Department.
•    Good is a software trainer in the Center for Online Learning.
•    Graves is an assistant professor in the Global Studies Department.
•    Helveston is an instructor in the Building Trades Department. 
•    Potter is an instructor in the Building Trades Department.
•    Roush is a network/telecom technician in the Technology Services Department.
•    Sage is an office assistant in the Architecture and Design, Computer Information Technology, and Digital Media and Animation Departments.
•    Stampone is an assistant professor in the English and Humanities Department.
•    Tinder is an instructor in the Building Trades Department.
•    Updyke is the program director and assistant professor in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Department. 

The Pioneer Athletic Department is welcoming Taylor Button, Jason Taylor, and Krystal Yernye.

•    Button is the head women’s basketball coach. 
•    Taylor is an assistant athletic trainer. 
•    Yernye is the assistant athletic director for athletic communications. 

In the Institutional Advancement office, Mary Perkins is the new director of Alumni Relations. 

Facilities Services has added six cleaners to the staff, Andraya Bartlebaugh, Shelly Eymer, Dennis O’Dell, Tim Ray, Joshua Sturdevant, and Morgan Watson.
