Alfred State alumnus Mike Nisbet was recently appointed executive director of the Hornell Industrial Development Agency.
According to an article by The Spectator, Nisbet, who majored in accounting at Alfred State, is taking over for Jim Griffin, who guided Hornell’s economic development efforts for 47 years.
Nisbet, the article states, “spent 10 years as a loan officer and commercial lending officer in area banks, including the former Steuben Trust Company back home in the Maple City. He then moved to TTA/Transitair Systems of Hornell for the last 32 years, rising to managing director and chief financial officer.”
