A group of Kappa Sigma Epsilon fraternity members from Alfred State College recently participated in a trail maintenance event for I Love NY Parks Day.

According to an article on The Spectator’s website, “I Love My Park Day is organized by the nonprofit Parks & Trails New York. It is a popular statewide event that improves and enhances New York’s beloved outdoor spaces, while bringing visibility to the entire state and outdoor recreation park system.”

The fraternity members were some of the 30 volunteers plus three New York State Department of Environmental Conservation staff who cleared trails and re-stained the picnic pavilion at the Palmer’s Pond camping area on the West Almond Trail System.
