Lambda Tau Phi members assist Almond Community Church

A dozen members of the Lambda Tau Phi fraternity at Alfred State College recently provided some much-needed assistance to the Almond Community Church.

Valerie DuMond, a member of the church, said the fraternity brothers “showed up early and ready to work.”

“They jumped right in and helped our church with daunting tasks such as purging a storage room and shed of items that had seen better days; cleaned up brush in the lawn; scrubbed mini blinds; dusted; vacuumed; and washed many items, as well as the wainscoting in our social room,” she said.

DuMond noted that the church “was so very thankful for all that these guys accomplished.”

“They were a great bunch of guys,” she said. “Thank you, Lambda Tau Phi! We love you!”
