ACCORD is pleased to announce that it will host food distributions on Wednesday, Jan. 20 and Wednesday, Feb. 17 at Alfred State’s Wellsville Campus at 2350 River Road in Wellsville at approximately 3 p.m.
Kerri Potter, emergency enrollment and service manager, reports that, “ACCORD is grateful to be able to work with Alfred State to utilize their campus parking lots to offer this opportunity to families in Allegany County. We loop traffic around the back side of the campus, and it has worked out really well for traffic flow.”
ACCORD will have enough food boxes to serve 300 families in need.
“This is a drive-thru distribution and food is given out on a first-come, first-serve basis until it is gone. All that is needed is the family’s zip code and the ages of household members. Once we obtain that information our volunteers load boxes into your car. It’s that easy,” said Potter.
If a family is unable to attend but is in need of food, they can call ACCORD’s ACCESS Center at 585-268-7605 extension 1001 to request an Emergency Food Box to be scheduled for pick up by appointment. An intake and proof of income will be required.
