For the fifth consecutive year, Alfred State is calling upon Pioneers and supporters everywhere to make a big difference in the lives of students by participating in the college’s annual Day of Giving.

Alfred State Director of Development Jason Sciotti said, “This day has always provided such a fun atmosphere all around campus for the students, faculty, and staff – a day filled with activities, competitions, and laughs while learning about the power of philanthropy and showing your Pioneer Pride! As we head into our fifth annual Day of Giving here at Alfred State, the event will look much different on campus this year, but our goal remains the same: to help support our students!”

Sciotti added that thank-you notes like this from a current student make all of the effort that goes into creating a successful Day of Giving so worth it:

“Thank you for providing emergency funding to needy students, like myself, during these hard times. With this additional aid, I'll be able to remain in college with a home to return to. I appreciate the help and will make the best of it!”

In helping to reach its goals, Alfred State is making it as easy as possible for people to give and be a part of this great event. Any gift made to Alfred State between now and Nov. 18 will be counted toward the Day of Giving.

Donations can be made:

  • Online at www.AlfredState.edu/Make-A-Gift.
  • To the food pantry (non-perishable foods and personal care items). Drop-off locations are located at the Pioneer Center and the Alumni House.
  • Over the phone when speaking to one of the college’s ambassadors on Nov. 18.
