The Allegany County Area Foundation and the Allegany County United Way recently awarded Alfred State College a grant for its food pantry program. 

According to an article on the Olean Times Herald's website, the Foundation and the United Way “recently created Community Relief Funds (CRF) and a shared grant application and review process to streamline support for local organizations that are assisting county residents.”

The article also states that the donation will support Alfred State’s food pantry through the summer and into the fall semester. Cornell Cooperative Extension was also awarded a grant for its Project Clover Aid-Food Boxes for Farmers program.
