A recent article appearing on the Wellsville Regional News website highlighted a joint program between Alfred State College and the Allegany Arc that provides college possibilities for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Known as “RISE,” which stands for “Reaching Individual Success in Education,” this program is for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities who wish to continue their education in a collegiate environment. The program is located on the Alfred State campus and “focuses on creating a unique educational experience that nurtures students’ social and academic growth.”
