While COVID-19 and social distancing may have prevented a traditional Hot Dog Day event from happening this year, Alfred State College and Alfred University made sure that the annual celebration was still able to take place in a fun virtual setting.

As noted in an article by The Spectator, a committee of members from both colleges “created a Hot Dog Day website that features videos from past celebrations, music videos, and messages from both college presidents. The website, www.hotdogday.org, went online at noon Saturday.”

In addition to viewing the videos and messages, visitors to the website were also able to purchase Hot Dog Day T-shirts, with proceeds benefiting local charities and civic organizations.
