Countless Alfred State alumni are on the front line of the current battle against the coronavirus. Recently, the college’s Athletic Department had the chance to speak with four former Pioneer student-athletes about their work on the front line.

Countless Alfred State alumni are on the front line of the current battle against the coronavirus. Recently, the college’s Athletic Department had the chance to speak with four former Pioneer student-athletes about their work on the front line.

These alumni include Brooke Geibel, a women’s soccer player from 2016-18 who is a travel nurse on an assignment at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC; Danny Napolionello, a football player from 2012-15 who is a dispatcher for the Manhattan FDNY and a volunteer fireman for the Valley Stream Fire Department; Taylor McCarthy, a softball player from 2012-15 who is a New York State trooper; and Ally Vargeson, a soccer player from 2012-15 who is involved with patient registration in the Emergency Department at Corning Hospital.
