Alfred State students will continue to gain valuable real-world, hands-on learning experience while helping the local community this spring by working on two newly constructed welcome signs in Wellsville.

As reported by the Wellsville Regional News, construction began in early 2019  “when Alfred State masonry students poured a foundation and began laying blocks on the southeast side intersection of Madison Street and Routes 417/19. The work continued in the fall when students placed brick facing on the first monument and construction of the second.”

The signs are part of a Downtown Beautification Project.
