The opener was the completion of a suspended game from Tuesday.  Action started with ASC leading 2-1 in the top of the 2nd.  NCCC took the lead for good with two runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning and then put the game out of reach with a five-run 6th inning.

Kevan Smith (Cicero North Syracuse) was 2 for 3 while Dennis Dueno (Brooklyn/Bishop Ford) was 2 for 4.  Anthony Espe (Union Endicott) drove in the lone run.

Trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the 6th inning of the nightcap, ASC loaded the bases with one out but was unable to plate the tying run.  NCCC put the game out of reach in the 7th taking advantage of two Pioneer errors to score six runs.

ASC was held to just three hits with Espe collecting the lone RBI.  Tyler Mann (Holland Patent) allowed three earned runs in 6.1 innings of work.  He allowed eight hits while walking three and striking out three.

The Pioneers return to action on Saturday when they are scheduled to host Tompkins Cortland CC in a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
